Improving Quality of Life One Person at a Time

This is one of the things we do best

Salud Centro Corp. was established for disease awareness projects by Ivelisse Casillas in 2000.

It began as a health information center in the convenience of a shopping mall and was an innovative concept at the time. It allowed many patients to have a one-on-one conversation with a Health Educator, and receive educational materials on a wide array of health conditions, including those that might go unnoticed.

It also broadcasted a monthly live radio program, directly from the shopping mall site to reach a greater audience. Eventually, Salud Centro became a non-for-profit 501c3 organization and embraced its vision to help people in need. It continued to carry health information projects focused on, for example, autism, mental health (bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia), and cardiovascular diseases.

In early 2020 and due to the different challenges Puerto Rico has gone through since hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the Island in 2017 and earthquakes in December 2019 and January 2020, Salud Centro is currently focused on helping earthquakes victims in the Southwest region of the Island.

Hundreds of houses in the zone either need to be demolished or repaired, and many homeowners are in need to repair their damaged houses.

Salud Centro is helping these earthquake victims to accelerate these procedures with needed construction materials and the like for them to have the proper housing and living conditions they deserve. This initiative is spearheaded by Lind Claudio and his Board of Directors.
